Olohuntoki Mosque is situated on Olatunji Ige Street, off Oladele Street, Ikosi Road, Ketu. The mosque began as a modest place of worship thanks to the generous donation of land by the late philanthropist Alhaji Abdulqadir Olohuntoki. His gift laid the foundation for a vibrant Muslim community dedicated to the worship of Allah and the pursuit of Islamic knowledge. Since its establishment, the congregation has grown steadily, outgrowing the original space. To accommodate the increasing number of worshippers, the mosque has rented additional premises. These rentals are sustained through the combined efforts of the mosque administration and regular contributions from members of the community. In addition to serving as a place for daily prayers, Olohuntoki Mosque has developed a robust educational program. An Arabic school, staffed by qualified lecturers, offers free tuition to approximately 300 students, including both males and females, children and adults. The school’s curriculum is complemented by daily Taʿleem sessions held after the morning prayer, providing regular spiritual enrichment for all attendees. Despite these achievements, the mosque’s current rented facilities have become inadequate. The limited space restricts the mosque’s ability to host worship services, educational activities, and community events effectively. Consequently, there is an urgent need to acquire a permanent site on which a purpose‑built mosque can be constructed. Such a structure would serve as a lasting sanctuary for worship, learning, and community development, ensuring that the growing congregation can continue to gather without constraint. To realize this vision, Olohuntoki Mosque respectfully seeks the support of individuals, organizations, and philanthropists. Contributions may be financial or in‑kind—such as the donation of land or construction materials—and will directly fund the purchase of a suitable plot and the subsequent building project. By supporting this cause, donors will become part of a lasting legacy of faith, knowledge, and communal unity, and will earn the rewards promised in the hadith: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise” (Sahih Bukhari 450; Sahih Muslim 533). The mosque’s project account details are as follows: Account Name – Oluhuntoki Mosque ; Account Number – 9994361670; Bank –Providus Bank . Interested parties are invited to contact the undersigned for further information or to make a contribution. In conclusion, Olohuntoki Mosque stands as a beacon of Islamic faith and education, fostering a strong sense of community and providing essential religious and educational services to hundreds of worshippers and students. However, to sustain and expand its mission, a permanent, spacious place of worship is required. The mosque appeals to the kindness and generosity of the public to support this noble endeavour, assuring that every contribution will be rewarded abundantly by Allah. May Allah bless and reward all supporters for their generosity.
