A guide to create a successful campaign with Mosquepay

These are the essential elements of running a crowdfunding campaign on MosquePay. Do not be intimidated by the list if you want to start a campaign. If necessary, our team will guide you through each step to give you the best chance of success.

Campaign amount:

Determine how much money you need to raise. It's not an issue of how much MosquePay can raise for you, but rather how much you can raise on MosquePay, so be realistic about your network and what you can do.

Mosquepay charges:

To account for card fees and other running expenses, Mosquepay imposes a charge of 5% on the total amount raised per campaign. Additionally, a campaign creator can provide social media presence (recommended) for their campaigns by running ads. We advise campaign creators to estimate these costs and include them in the campaign amount. On average, aim for 10% more than you actually need.

Campaign types and duration

The next step is to decide the kind of campaign you want to launch. MosquePay provides three different campaigns possibilities:

  • Individual: This campaign type is suitable for an individual looking to raise money for education, health challenges or a business idea.
  • Corporate: A corporate entity might want to raise funds for humanitarian services or other reasons. To do this the business will need to provide
  • Non-profit: For a non-profit organization to raise funds, they’ll need to provide a reference letter, BVN
You decide how long you want your campaign to run. 80% of funds are received in the first and last 5 days, so you want to start and finish your campaign strategically.

Please note: All campaigns on Mosquepay must complete a minimum of 30 days and and maximum of 90days before funds raised on our platform can be released to the fund raiser or campaign owner.

You should also note that in case of death of the campaign owner or the person in whose name the campaign or project is raised, Mosquepay has the right to send the money raised to any of the Zakat or Waqf houses operating in Nigeria as sadaqatul jariyah for both the donors and person in whose name the campaign is raised.

Campaign description

Your campaign description is critical - It's imperative to explain what you're doing and why it matters in your campaign description. Although a strong description does not ensure success, one cannot succeed without one.
