Building a masjid🕌 Donating for the construction of a masjid (mosque) is among the most virtuous and lasting forms of charity in Islam. A masjid is not merely a place of worship—it is a center for community gathering, education, and spiritual growth. When a person contributes to building a masjid, they are investing in ongoing reward (sadaqah jariyah) that continues even after their death. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “Whoever builds a masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim) Every prayer, every Qur’an recitation, every word of knowledge shared in the masjid adds to the donor’s record of good deeds. Contribute any amount you are able. When donating, always ensure your intention is purely for the sake of Allah. Sincerity increases the value of the deed in the sight of Allah. “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:261) May Allah accept our donations, purify our intentions, and grant us a house in Paradise
